Thank you for a lovely stay of 5 Nights at Anne's retreat

Euan was a fantastic host and made sure we had everything we needed - including a good supply of logs for the wood burner which we loved!

Accommodating us at short notice for New Year is much appreciated - so glad we found this place! Plenty of amazing walks and views over the valley.

We will be back in the future for sure!

The hut is absolutely fantastic and you should be very proud of what you have created here.

We've just spent the most incredible 3 days in this beautiful shepherds hut, and its been nothing short of perfect!
The supering bed was beyond comfortable - one of the best nights sleep we've had in ages.
The small wood burner kept the space wonderfully warm and cosy, creating the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing getaway.
One of the things we loved most was how peaceful it was here. Once we turned off the lights, the pitch darkness and gentle sounds of nature made for the most restful sleep - completely serene.
It was truly the best birthday present I could have asked for.
Thank you Euan, Laura and Betty (their super friendly dog) for such a magical stay. We will be back!

What a discovery! Such a beautiful place, peaceful and relaxing.

The meadows and the woods are delightful, and full of wildflowers and birdsong.

The hut(s) have been crafted with such skill and care, with everything we could need, and the welcome and the hospitality second to none.

We've loved staying here and exploring the area. We hope to be back sometime.

Our third stay here and just as wonderful as always!

The first time we stayed here we got engaged.

The second time I was heavily pregnant and this time we are happily married with a beautiful 7 month old daughter.

We have very precious memories here and we are so grateful to Euan and Laura for sharing this piece of the world with us

We came to Anne's Retreat for our 18th wedding anniversary and its been wonderful.
We only ventured into Chepstow as it was too lovely to leave, other than to wander around the forest on the edge of the hut. It was even sunny enough to read in the hammock.
Garry loved the fire pit and we both loved sitting in the bath with the birdsong
Its idyllic and we're really sad to leave

Stay number two!!
As usual everything was perfect in Anne's Retreat. We have enjoyed another truly relaxed stay and feel very refreshed.
We've absolutely loved our last two stays here and have fond memories with my partner proposing our our first stay and our second stay being our last break before we welcome our baby girl in February. Thank you Euan and Laura for sharing your piece of the world with us.

There are few places we find in life , that are peaceful enough and safe enough for us to really relax to the point where we can think the thoughts, feel the feelings and open the boxes in side we carefully keep packed away for our own sake.

This place is that place. We have spent our precious time doing all these things and by so doing , coming back to our centre, just being and finding kindness in ourselves, where too often, there is judgement and fear.

Everyone should be able to do this things , that make the same....human.

Thank you for giving us the space and opportunity to stop and do this, gathering ourselves together breathing deeply and finding what we need to go back and face the world for another round.

Euan made us feel so welcome when we first arrived and had set the area up beautiful, it was like walking into a fairy tale.
Both my husband and I agree that this was the best holiday we have been on. We got the peace and quiet of the countryside with only the owls and robins as neighbours but also the luxury of hot running water, amazing showers, magical bathtub, inside kitchen and an amazing bed. They have really thought of all your needs, comforts and experiences whilst staying with them. The hammock and outside chairs where a dream to have lazy days on with the firepit all prepped for cooking. We felt like we were in our own little world and would have stayed forever. Also the fact that Euan built these huts himself and all the added features to make this stay truly amazing and memorable.
Thank you so much for everything, even the fairy who topped up the logs for the fire pit! We will be seeing you again. If there was an option for more Stars you would have given them.
