Both of our retreats sit in their own private spaces, surrounded by fields, woodland and big skies. There are no shared facilities, no passing footfall and no children on-site – just you, the countryside and the occasional birdsong.

Adults-only – each retreat sleeps two, perfect for couples.

Anne’s Retreat: Your Own Meadow Hideaway

Anne’s Retreat is our most secluded escape – a luxury shepherd’s hut set in its own private meadow on the edge of a natural wood. Once you close the gate behind you, the space is entirely yours.

Completely self-contained shepherd’s hut for cooking, dining and relaxing.
Separate private bathing hut with a huge double-ended bath and full-sized rain shower – just a few steps across the decking.
Decking and outdoor space where you can linger over breakfast, watch the sunset or stargaze in silence.
Super king bed and a cosy wood-burner, so you can retreat from the world in comfort at any time of year.

Anne’s Retreat is ideal if you’re craving that “off-grid” feeling but still want hot water, a comfortable bed and thoughtful touches throughout.

Orchard Cottage: Seclusion with Big-Sky Views

Orchard Cottage offers a different kind of privacy – your own detached cottage with a private terrace and orchard, looking across to the Black Mountains.

Private terrace with uninterrupted views and sun loungers for lazy afternoons.
Hidden corners in the orchard, including a bench by the stream and a swing bench where you can sit and listen to the water.
Spacious yet intimate – a super king bedroom, bathroom with bath and shower, and a cosy sitting room with a wood-burner.
Dog-friendly – bring your four-legged companion to share the peace (Orchard Cottage only).

Walk Straight from Your Door

If your idea of seclusion includes lacing up your boots and heading out for the day, you’re in the right place. From both retreats you can walk straight out into the Wye Valley countryside, with footpaths leading to quiet lanes, woodland and open fields. No need to drive, no need to meet anyone – just pick a path and go.
